A Glimpse Into The Life Of A Family Of Four

WHoosh!!!! She'll be a big one...
Happy boy on a lake
Not so happy boy on a lake. He asked for it but did not like it.
Just hangin' out

We got Daddy back for four wonderful days. It was a busy weekend but we did have a great time. My back is still recovering from the camping trip. Note to self...bring more thermorests when pregnant, oh and maybe a pillow or 5.
We traveled south...so south that my cell phone got a message that said "international data rates apply." Now, we were still in America so part of me is a little ticked that the cell phone company can do that but hey...standard practice for those guys-I guess. It was a very nice little lake with plenty of camping sites. I will admit that the signs saying "you may encounter illegal immigration" and "no shooting" (not no guns but literally "no shooting") didn't sit well at first but as soon as all the fun started those signs were the furthest thing from my mind. For the record, we encountered no illegal immigration and shot ZERO guns! We met up with some friends and had a blast. Four little boys, two big boys, and two silly mommies and it was a recipe for fun. The lake's overall water level rose about 4" because the kids tossed SO many rocks in the lake. Not too much swimming but a great time for all.
After camping...recovery for me and then the pool. We were also treated to a big surprise...THE HEPP FAMILY. Sorry no photos. We did have a GREAT time catching up with Matt and meeting his beautiful wife Kara. So much fun, and even better that we will see them again in a few weeks.

Well that is all for now. I will have more this week. We are in the final days of Sean being gone and couldnt be more excited to have him home. The boys (and me) are missing him tons. We are so proud of him and all the hard work he has done. He serves this country with everything he has and we stand by him and all our service members. What Sean doesnt give to us he gives to this great country and most of all, it is all for God. We are so thankful for people like him. Finally, a toast to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this country.
Remember always-Memorial Day.

The EYES of a THREE YEAR OLD

So one of my best thought-out plans (ha it wasn't a plan at all) was to give Noah our old, run- own 5megapixel camera. It blurs pink and purple most of the time. Somehow he has figured a way around it. So after charging the batteries, we are about 100 pictures into the week. I picked my top 5 so far. He is a very funny kid and can set the timer...those pictures are to follow.

Space Station and LEGO ROCKETS!!!!
Momma and brother playing with trains

Ziggy carrying some homemade gold rocks, we have lots of treasures

All my boys at the Base Easter Egg hunt...

So, after our East Coast trip we battled some colds and pink eye for a good two weeks. Then it was time to head to Las Vegas to see Daddy. We had a great trip to Vegas, both boys did great in the car. We got to hang out a little bit with Dad and spend Easter with our good friends Katie and Eddie. Katie hid eggs for the boys and made us a wonderful breakfast. Eddie and the boys went in the REALLY COLD pool and had a great time. We also got to see our good friends Aubrie, Ethan and Everett. Needless to say it was a blast! Sorry there arent pictures of it.
After Vegas we headed back to Cali. We had a great time visiting Grandpa, Leelee, Aunt Julia, Uncle Jon and meeting the new addition...little Waverly. She is almost 4 months now and absolutely a gorgeous little person.

AHHHH It Has Been Too Long

Ahhh so it has been a while. Maybe it is time for an April Fools resolution to be a better blogger. ARRGGG what has happened since Jan. Well, Sean is gone for a while. We are obviously missing him a ton EVERYDAY! We do get to see him about once a month for a day which is always nice but never long enough.

Noah is a super fun little guy. He has grown about 2 in. He loves to ride his bike anywhere and everywhere. He goes mountain biking with dad every time he is home. He might be one of Sean's most consistent partners. He LOVES school and is so interested in reading and writing (he does not get this from me).

Zane had surgery and I wont get into details but it went great. He is such a strong little man. His pain tolerance is super high now. He is learning new words and new signs although I am sure he cant wait to tell us more. He is super fast and climbs everything.

The In-laws came and went. My mom came and went. My dad came and went. Then it was time for us to hit the road. We went to visit Nana and Papa (in-laws) in New Hampshire. We were in luck, they had a very long winter. Good for us not so much for them. Noah got three days on the slopes and can ski the littlest tiniest bunny hill by himself. Zane was not so hot on the wearing all the clothes but he is a trooper. Then it was off to Virginia to see some good ole friends. We had a GREAT TIME!!!! The Willcoxs' opened their home for us. 4 boys 4 and under. It was a super sweet surprise that it was calm and all the boys got along great. It finally was time to come home. We had a long and serious recovery from the trip but are happy to be healthy and back on time.

Kai took this awesome picture
Oh Maternity pictures...they might kill me. Zane gets me, he really gets me.
Lap child on a plan, HA!!! Noah's face says it all the dvd player must be out of batteries. He is a great little traveler.
Watching brother ski...
There goes the little man!!!!

So It Has Been a While

Christmas Morning, the new bed
Taking the boys out in the Scout
Playing on the beach
Still playing on the beach
Zane's first birthday!!!

I dont know where to begin it has been so long. We started a heaving season of traveling and then the Holidays so you know....SLOW BLOGGING. At the end of Oct we traveled to Las Vegas to see Sean and some good friends. We had a great time and it was (somehow) a lot cooler than Tucson. I would have never guessed. Then we came home only to gear up and hit the road to Cali. We traveled to California for a wonderful western wedding of The Kell Family. I got to catch up with some old friends and I had some awesome Babysitters. Nothing beats grandparents for babysitters....and Uncle Jon. Then we stuck around SO cal for Baby Mestas' Baby shower. It was awesome. I am so excited for my brother and his wife. So, after that we headed back to AZ for the rest of the year. We had a WONDERFUL and quiet Christmas. Sean was able to get sometime off so we just played outside and had a blast.

Air Museum

Noah by the F-104
Hanging in the space capsule
Nana and Noah
Shout-out to Dad!

So, it was my fault. I asked Noah, "if he could do anything tomorrow what would it be?" He told me he wanted to visit the Pima Air Museum and then go to Wild Adventures to ride the roller coasters. SO, since Wild Adventures is still in Georgia we went to the Air Museum (for the second time). He loved it and we were able to bring a picnic. We searched for Papa's airplanes, which happens to be a lot. We found most. Our second search was for "the airplane that Chuck Yeager jumps out of with a parachute" which most closely resembles the F-104...we were successful but disappointed that it was not silver. We visited the huge space building and watched a movie about mars, saw a model of the bell x-1 and several space shuttles. We saw a F-14 Tomcat ("the one that maverick flies") which, by the way he has seen TOP GUN and he will NOT be allowed to see it until he is about 12, maybe older, thankfully he is too young for most of it.

Slow Bloggin'

Our Little Family One Year Ago
Noah as Nemo Last Year
Noah as an Astronaut This Year (trying on the costume)
Zane and Nana Enjoying (Ba) Nannas
Me in cali

Sorry Family and Friends. I know it has been slow. I have been slow to take pictures and hop on these days. The family is doing great. We are having fun watchin' Zane tare it up. He is a walking maniac. Noah is doing great and is way into space...which brings me to my next topic. Halloween!!!! We watched "The Right Stuff" a few weeks ago...he lasted longer than both me and Sean but it did take two nights. He LOVED IT! His overall synopsis is that it is a movie with "astronauts but no space shuttle launch." We even had to watch the credits to make sure they didnt sneak in an extra space shuttle launch. SO....Noah is going to be Alan Shepherd (the first free man in space), I am going to be Freedom 7 (the Mercury Space Capsule) and Zane is going to be Ham (the first free chimp in space....so a really a chimp). I am working on the costumes and the projects are going well.

Sean also took Noah to the Pima Air Museum...with our old, SUPER old camera and I will be up loading pictures from the vantage point of a three year old. Super funny to me at least. But since it is a super old camera finding the appropriate cord is hard.

We are enjoying a visit from Sean's mother Mary. She is here for a few weeks until Henry gets home from his mission to France. All is well and we are loving all the story time!
